Discovery Inn Monterey at 1106 Fremont Boulevard, Seaside, California.

It’s a decent place for the price I guess. The blankets weren’t very warm. There was only one towel in the room. And I accidentally left a pillow that I brought in the room and when I went back to see if I could get it back, they were completely unhelpful. They said that the housekeeper already went home and that they apparently couldn’t check themselves. So that I could check back tomorrow (which doesn’t help me since I don’t live here) so I had to leave without any help from them or offer to call me if they find it or offer to send it or anything. But hey, you get what you pay for I suppose.

If you can accept the simple breakfast which was edible and hygienic and take the grumpy man at the counter in your stride, then everything else is worth the stay. The price for room was good. The environment and surrounding amenities was good. You get a good number of family restaurants, convenience store and supermarkets nearby. I left the hotel with good memory of the serene garden ambience around the carpark and along the walk way of the hotel rooms. Come to think of it again, the place offers a good mix and the man was kinda cute. I shall upgrade the rating by 1 more star.
